Committee Information

RSAA encourages its members to get involved and influence the shape of the association. Applications are still being accepted for the 2010-2011 fiscal year for the following committees:

Events & Gala Committee

Purpose: Plan the annual RSAA Gala and all other event related programming.

The Events Committee is currently working on determining the venues for the 2011 Summit and 2010 Membership Meetings.

Supplier/Advisory Board Committee

Purpose: Represent the interests of associate members

The Supplier/Advisory Board Committee is currently working on developing an attractions contract for posting to the Website and use as a sample by RSAA members. The committee previously developed a hotel contract which can be found in the Educational Tools section of the Website.

Additionally, the committee is developing a more comprehensive form for gathering information about staff and staff functions at each of the receptive tour operators’ locations. The form will assist supplier members in making appropriate contacts.

Membership Committee

Purpose: To retain and recruit association members as well as reaching out to current members to assess needs and expectations for RSA.

The Membership Committee supports RSAA staff in thier efforts to increase visibility for RSAA at travel industry trade shows and developing partnerships with DMO’s around the country.

The committee has been tasked with developing a group of benefits. Some of the benefits to be offered will be health insurance and discounted office supplies and services.

Education & Summit Committee

Purpose:  To evaluate educational opportunities for the membership and to assist in planning the annual Summit.

The Education and Summit Committee looks closely at educational opportunities at the annual RSAA Summit as well as online educational opportunities for the membership.  The Committee also works with the Summit schedule and event staff to ensure a great annual Summit.
